Privacy policy

Summary

Cost of Legal does not ask for your name, your email address or any detail about your business. There is no account, no newsletter signup and no lead form. Calculator inputs stay in your browser and are never sent to us. The only data collected is the ordinary technical and advertising data described below.

Information we collect

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, referring page and the time of each request. These are used to keep the site running and to detect abuse.

We may use privacy respecting analytics to count page views and understand which guides are read. Where analytics are used, they are configured to avoid storing information that identifies you personally.

Anything you type into a calculator is processed in your browser only. We do not receive it, store it or log it.

Advertising and cookies

This site is funded by display advertising served by Google AdSense and its partners. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google uses advertising cookies to enable it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site or other sites on the internet. What we never do

We do not sell, rent or share reader information with law firms, filing services, lead buyers or any other commercial party. We do not operate a referral programme. We do not build profiles of individual readers.

Your rights

Children

This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under the age of thirteen. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted on the page itself.
